December 20

That’s that. I didn’t want to rebuff anyone. This is simply an opportunity to parrot the narrative. It was so well trained. A man calmly worked on his automobile, an 1997 Corolla. Vintage. Two police officers arrived, tentative. The man didn’t even blink. Or not in an obvious or offensive way to the police officers, who were wondering about the wails inside the house. That’s my parakeet, said the amateur engineer. He guided the officers inside. You do wonder where the bird learned such a thing. The comments were split on the issue. Everything can be construed as a conspiracy. How two molecules coincidentally merge. That’s the great mystery of the human body, every system working in tandem. They used this to their benefit. They were a team of three but one of them betrayed them. One of them wanted them to work collaboratively, while the other pursued his own self-interest. So it was luck, the finalists. But if you ask me, everyone deserved it. They plucked a crustless sandwich from a platter and said “thank you.” Then they ate the cucumber inside, and the pat of cream cheese. That’s all. You’re not hungry? No.

ick it

Lick it or pucker up, it’s salty outside and your body is saline

I mean it is sailing, truly throughout the weather

Whatever the weather there’s a blue and borrowed old thing, squish squish

When you talk like that I want to burrow in a hole in the playground

And play tag with my three children who do not exist

You’re it!

Big day today

I think it was a salience thing. I think there is way too much iodine in that water in which my macaroni is boiling. They probably thought... Yeah you could get elected by saying that. Then you politely ask the lookers-on to exit the premises on which this integument is tepidly built and burn your thighs, truly singe them, ouch

Can I drop in for a minute? A minute hair has been growing on my forearm, but in a small part of it, so only close friends and intimates can see it, it’s very secret. It secretes joy and boy oh boy is it fluid, it’s a gooey kind of joy, like in that movie, with the movable type. I’m not talking about what I’m doing, I’m talking about malleability, it’s like the candy and I’m soooo mellow. I have my little fellow on my arm. But I just mentioned him. What was I talking about? Where are you going?

Simplicitude

I want a pangram for that I want a pangolin for that a portend for that a hat with a plume a room in which I can say plume and get no funny looks I want no more rolling eyes from you I want the highly specific sticker where a pink marshmallow keeps sighing on the bed and looking up and down that’s me I say that’s me

then I take a photo with a mask on of a nautilus eerily similary word-wise to one of today’s pangrams

Today I am updating my blog

I mentioned this location in a moment of flip on a Zoom call. We were sharing our respective video clips; I was mortified that it existed! The it in that sentence contains multiple its. Its and it’s that I like to confuse. I present myself as a person visiting Vancouver Canada for the first time and clutching a book about its botanical gardens and Felix the rabbit. Next, the fact that I am horizontal is intentional. As with the purple font and the fact that it is lime on a smartphone. Next, I write down “buy plants” and hope that the rosemary and parsley I potted will reproduce. I think about the pressure cooker like a solution to a problem. I’ve downloaded the crossword puzzle app but can’t get the hang of it without knowing that I am right or am wrong. I like certitude

Bread

Wheat in the front, rye in the back. Postcard in the far back. Yellow-greying sponge in the normal back. Not a dish towel in the foreground. I don’t use paper towels on my unmanicured and rutilant hand. Random ovaline sticker. Irregular embarassing crumb. Actual crumbs. Unwashed grate. Yellow beam on a plastic bag. Pink slip for my insurance, or my employer. Nostalgia car on a postcard driving on through, which of you got it? Tiny green triangle — obtuse triangle — do you see it?
